Energy

Energy policy has to balance four objectives: a secure energy supply to private households and industry; affordable energy supply; environmental and climatic sustainability; and public support for different means of energy production and transport.

Energy policy aimed at a sustainble future has to integrate important aspects of economic and strategic site development, innovation policy, environmental and climate policy as well as spatial planning.

Challenges:

+ Generating public support and a broad consensus on the generation of renewable and conventional energy

+ Maximising the growth potential in new markets such as the green economy

+ Promoting energy efficiency, sustainable mobility and environmentally-friendly energy production

+ Ensuring effective collaboration between the energy industry, policy makers and civil society

We offer:

+ Developing energy policy strategies in dialogue with key regional players and state and national governments

+ Developing strategic objectives that are quantifiable and can be implemented

+ Developing action plans and measures with input from stakeholders important for their implementation

+ Identifying sustainable energy policy flagship projects that can be replicated in their entirety

Selection of Reference Projects:

+ A strategy for further developing the energy and climate protection policy of a German state government’s economics ministry
